Visit from Tatra National Park

On the 7th of September, we were honoured with a visit of the team of Tatra National Park, Poland.
The visit started with a presentation at the Visitor Centre in Bușteni where we discussed, for about 2 hours, about the similarities and differences between the two park administrations. 

We then continued with a trip by cablecar to Babele and the Sphinx, then a 3 hour hike (round trip) to the Heroes Cross.

All the while, we exchanged very useful information about the organization and more. Tatra National Park is certainly an icon in Europe, especially for its professional management, with over 100 employees managing the entire designated area, both nature protection and forest management, trail maintenance, guarding etc. Research is an important aspect for the administration of the Tatra National Park, with a large team dedicated to this purpose and to the management of publicly funded projects, which seem to be plenty. The park entraces all are set with visitor ticket selling offices, which is regulating unorganized tourism really well.

For us the information we receive is a source of inspiration and energy.

In the future we are looking forward to more collaborations and we will do our best to visit the Tatra National Park as well.
